Take the lead in curriculum development
Growing from the original Department of Textbook Publication for Basic Education of Beijing Normal University Press, Textbook Publication for Basic Education (TPBE) was set up at the end of 2004 as a result of the readjustment of the departments of Beijing Normal University Press. TPBE undertakes the responsibility of the research and development of the textbooks and its resources for basic education, devoting itself to the establishment of a sound textbook publication system. So far textbooks of 13 subjects prepared for the piloting of the National Curriculum Standards for Basic Education have been Reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Education.
Achieving Objectives: Building up a team of textbook developers advocating study, initiative and progress; Working for the establishment of the textbook base of research and development for basic education which has influence both at home and abroad; Training a group of authoritative specialists in curriculum and textbook development.
Basic Tasks: Consolidating and expanding the textbook piloting areas and improving the sustainable ability of the editors.
Basic Strategy: Persisting in the strategy of quality products and dedicating to the production of quality textbooks and providing excellent service.
